Welcome to project pgRoute

pgRoute is a Free and Open Source library that operates on  PostgreSQL and allows  routing calculations on data stored in it. Initially works using  Edsger Dijkstra's algorithm, but we are working to include other algorithms. pgRoute uses the excellent library  The igraph library as the basis for the management of graphs and algorithms.

This project is sponsored, supported and maintained by  SIGIS Soluciones Integrales GIS C.A

pgRoute is a new development from the ideas found in the project  pgRouting (by PostLBS), and is not an evolution. If you want to know more about the motivation behind this project, you must read pgRoute Why?
